The choice of the city of Lyon was a natural one thanks to its strong international potential, its excellent transport links (road, rail and air), its proximity to Switzerland and Italy, and the fact that the Lyon Motor Show will be held from 28 September to 2 October 2023. France's leading motor show, in terms of the number of car makes present, has become an unmissable event and a benchmark in the French automotive landscape.

On September 18, EQUIP AUTO unveiled the shortlist for its International Automotive Innovation Awards. A total of 51 entries were shortlisted this year.

A panel of 47 French and international journalists with expertise in the automotive sector voted between 19 and 22 September 2023 to elect a winner in each of the four categories honoured this year.

Paris, 12 September 2023 - EQUIP AUTO Lyon and the Lyon Motor Show are proud to announce this token of interest from the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, which underlines the contribution of both shows to France's reputation for automotive excellence.

EQUIP AUTO, the benchmark B2B show for the French automotive industry, and the Lyon Motor Show, France's leading motor show in terms of the number of brands exhibiting, will be held jointly at Eurexpo Lyon from 28 September to 2 October 2023.

This partnership between the two shows reflects a shared desire to create a regular meeting place for the entire automotive and mobility value chain.

With more than 550 exhibitors and brands registered to date out of the 400 initially expected for this first edition in Lyon, EQUIP AUTO has confirmed its position as the essential B2B meeting place for the automotive industry, its transitions and its innovations.

Thanks to a programme of information, discussions and decision-making aids geared towards users and professionals in the automotive maintenance and services sector, 90 speakers will be tackling the subjects and issues shaping the future of the automotive after-sales market and services linked to connected mobility.

The major forums and conferences will be held in the show's Conference Area, with simultaneous translation in English.

Discovering innovations is the leading reason that people visit EQUIP AUTO, and for nine out of 10 exhibitors, the exhibition is a showcase for innovation. And indeed, the changes that lie ahead for the automotive aftermarket are spurring firms to become innovative.

The automotive after-sales sector must evolve to adapt to the shift in the vehicle fleet towards all-electric vehicles. Most of the maintenance operations required by combustion engines will eventually disappear. As a result, tyres will become a major factor in traffic generation and an essential asset in making workshops profitable.
